Nakkarra wants to ‘awaken’ you to some new and exciting Aboriginal education products.
Quite frankly we think these materials are great and so do many educators and, most importantly, the children themselves.
The word, Nakkarra, is a word from the Kaurna Aboriginal people of Adelaide and it means: awakening.
This one, little word, awakening, sums up our business and our products!
When you browse through our Aboriginal Education Shop you will see that Nakkarra products are bright and colourful and have been produced so that we can help you share in and learn about Australia’s exciting Aboriginal culture.
We work with Aboriginal artists and the Aboriginal Community
When you chose Nakkarra resources for your classroom or school, you can rest assured that all elements are aligned with Aboriginal culture and the community.
It is our policy to seek to work with Aboriginal suppliers throughout the whole process of resource creation.
With its feet more firmly placed within the education sector, Nakkarra is looking to take its education focus further and develop services that are aimed at increasing awareness of the Aboriginal community and culture as well as individual personal development. With the introduction of project managing community comedy events and workshops in schools, Nakkarra is looking to further build upon these and develop other small programs.
